Secondary School Teacher Feedback

teacher feedback

Castletroy College,
Limerick,
22/04/2015

Dear Seán and Caroline,

Thanks you for having our fifth year Biology students to Cloncannon.
They thoroughly enjoyed their time at the farm and it was a great opportunity to see and work in a grassland habitat.
The idea of grouping them into competitive teams really spurred them on to learn and they took that knowledge home to Limerick.
We hope to forge strong links between Castletroy College and Cloncannon BioFarm in the future.
Some students are writing of their experience with you and will be submitting for publication in our next newsletter.
I spoke to the teachers who accompanied their classes had the highest of praise and they all gave me some feedback. All said they were delighted with the visit and would recommend it highly.
The study was delivered professionally and comprehensively. It was delivered in a fashion that caught and held the students’ attention – something that is not always easy to do!

All teachers said they would bring students again and it that it should be an annual visit in our school calendar.
Unfortunately, we have no Agricultural Science next year, but it may run (number permitting) the year after. Cloncannon BioFarm would be an ideal place to study for project purposes.
However, our intake of Biology students for senior level remains high which is good news.
Once again we wish to thank you for a memorable, high quality learning experience for our students.
Please keep in touch with me and the school and we can share ideas.

Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
Maria O’ Donnell,
Biology Co-ordinator.
