As part of National Heritage Week we’re holding a free family event at Cloncannon Biofarm, in association with Tipperary Green Business Network. It’s on Sunday, 16th August, 2.30-5pm.

Activities will include:

Guided Foraging tour led by Kay Hanrahan.

Tour of the Native Trees, Hedgerows and the interconnectivity of organisms lead by Tom Gallagher.

Hanna van Aelst will give a Basketry demo.

Dr. Connie Grace will guide visitors through the grassland and discuss the potential for species diversity in the sward.

The host Sean O’ Farrell will introduce visitors to life in the ponds and the river.

Musical performances by Mara van Aelst (harpist) and the Ni Riain sisters Greta and Cait (of Jim o’ the Mills – Upperchurch).

Conor Hammersley researcher of rural social issues will ‘field’ the topic of cultural male attitudes.
